I am trying to save an HTML message, "save as" works except for the inline images. They are referenced in the html in the format:

    mailbox-message://nobody@local%20folders/Inbox#10539988?header=saveas&part=1.1.3&filename=2008seabreeze_bck_web%20low%20res.jpg

Is there a way to save all the inline images in a folder?

You can save the image files into a specially prepared folder, when windows comes up with the file name, etc. On the top it says where, and My Documents is default. there is a drop down arrow which opens up the contents of your computer. That's when you can make your selection.
Personall, I prefer to process all images in a certain way, so I save the file to the Desktop, process it, save the changes, and then move the file to a folder.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear, I meant is there a way to save them all at once, there are dozens of inline images in these messages.

    Mike,
it is not clear what you want to do. I, surely, never do anything of the kind. I guess that you can hold down the Cntrl key, and select what you want, just like highlightling e-mails, and then, right click|save as.

What I want to do is to be able to easily save all the inline images, dozens of them, into a folder. The "save as" html function does not save the inline images.

    Mike,

    Very interesting indeed.

If you view scource (ctrl+U) of the email does it show the actual code for the image ? Something like:
    Content-Type: image/png
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
    Content-ID: <part1.04080704.06030006@testo.com>

Mike, I think your initial message was asking how to save them all at one time and I don't have an answer for that.

However, I have on several occasions had inline images which I could not save using the normal "SAVE AS" But, I discovered I could copy the image and then paste it into any graphic program such as "Paint" and then save it to the H/D from the graphic program.

By the way for a down and dirty, get it done quick image editing program for doing such as I described you can not beat the original "LView" program and the older version that works with XP is available at http://palmia.org/html/lview.htm and it is share or free ware. I can't run my computer with out "LView ".

    My 2 Cents -- Ray

ctrl+u does not show the inline images.

    Mike,
I am confused now. If the image code is not in the email, where is it coming from ?

Just for grins, with the focus on the email message, in the mainmenu - (at the top) select View - Message Body As- PLAIN TEXT

Do you get a list of attachements ?

I do get a list of attachments, unfortunately many of them have the same name.

I'm really surprised there isn't an add-on to do this.

Without the email to work with, I can not come up with a definitive suggestion.

    Sorry

    Mike,

    Please look at:

    TB attachement extracter

You will have to figure out HOW it works ?

Hopefully it is what you are looking for.

    Mike,

When you chage the VIEW to Plain text, they show as attachements.

Like I said, without seeing the actual email, I am just poking around in the dark.

Sending as test with 4 imges embedded - and viewing as plain text shows them as Attachements - runniing the add on and extracting DOES extract them......

try playing with the add on and see what you can come up with - it may work for you.

Actually I can't use the add-on, I'm still using TB 1.5 since 2.0 doesn't work with so many of my extensions. Thanks for your help.
