Hi cncmich. :) Good to hear from ya!

Right click the desktop and choose new>folder. Name it HJT. Cut and paste HijackThis.exe to that folder. That will keep backup files from scattering all over the desktop.

First, go to add/remove programs and uninstall New.net if there. If not there, or will not uninstall, use procedure #4 from here to remove it. Also anything named 180, MySearch and iWon if there. Scan again and fix these.

    O3 - Toolbar: i&Won Co-Pilot - {CA0B9B71-C2AF-11D3-B376-0800460222F0} - C:\Program Files\iWon\iWonBar\1.bin\IWONBAR.DLL
    O3 - Toolbar: My &Search Bar - {014DA6C9-189F-421a-88CD-07CFE51CFF10} - C:\Program Files\MySearch\bar\1.bin\S4BAR.DLL
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [New.net Startup] rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1\NEWDOT~1.DLL,NewDotNetStartup
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [msbb] c:\windows\180solutions\msbb.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [hez] C:\WINDOWS\hez.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SysUpd] C:\WINDOWS\sysupd.exe
    O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe

Right click My Computer and choose properties. On system restore tab, check the box to turn off. OK out.

Go to start>run and type msconfig, hit enter. On the boot.ini tab, check the box next to /safeboot and OK. Yes to restart. This will restart your computer in safe mode.

Now in safe mode, you will need to show hidden files and folders.

Open C:\WINDOWS\ and delete the files hez.exe, sysupd.pf and sysupd.exe if present.

Open C:\Program Files and delete the following folders if present.

    iWon
    MySearch
    ISTsvc
    Bargains
    CLRSCH
    Power Scan
    180Solutions
    SideSearch
    StatBlaster
    clearsearch
    lycos
    TV MEDIA
    WebRebates
    New.net

Search for and remove files and folder.

    powerregschedulerv3.exe
    powerreg scheduler.exe
    powerreg schedulerv2.exe
    powerreg
    powerreg scheduler.exe

Control panel>internet options>general tab>settings button in TIF section>view objects, select all and delete (the ones you need will be re-installed when needed).
Open C:\Windows\Temp, select all and delete.
Open C:\Documents and settings\username\Local Settings\temp, select all and delete. Do this for all usernames.
Open C:\Windows\Prefetch, select all and delete.
Open My Computer and right click Local Disk C:, then choose disk cleanup. Check all except compress old files and OK.
Uncheck the /safeboot box in msconfig and ok to reboot.

Back in Windows, you can re-enable system restore. Open IE and click tools>Synchronize>setup button, uncheck every box you find and OK out.
Scan with RAV, click report when done. Copy/paste it with a new HJT log.
