Can someone explain to me why a person would deliberately send out a virus to innocent people enjoying their computers, causing these people much misery? Does this person need to see a psychiatrist? Stang

The same reasons a person would do anything criminal or evil.

A common error. Rational people often make this mistake when faced with the irrational minds of criminals. We observe someone's irrationality, then we seek answers where? In our rational minds. A rational mind is just that, rational, logical, etc. Not having irrational answers, a rational mind comes up with no logical answers to "why does the criminal do what he does? "

However, a starting point is this: The criminal does what he does because he is irrational in his thinking.

FYI, about 15-20% of the world's population is criminal at one time or another, and about 2.5% are truly evil. The small percentage of real evil-doers wreak so much havoc it appears that there are more evil people than there really are.

Psychiatry has not been able to really help the criminal. If they did, you'd see falling crime stats. But since psychiatry gained a stronghold in our justice systems in the 1960's, crime has been skyrocketing. Just goes to show that they must not know what they are doing!
