    Hi all,

we are using windows xp prof. at the office and as a personal issue I dont like the idea of giving away all my account information to the supervisor of our department everytime I log in..because they get more information than they claim :)
generally they get the information of the web sites that you have been surfing and your C: drive information (what you have in there, stuff like that)
there are some technical info. that I dont want my company to know that I have them...
Is there any way to limit or stop this? I dont want those guys to have a list of all the content of my harddrive everytime I fire up my laptop..

    thanks in advance

Hello eksantrik2 and welcome to the Board :)

I think access to your HD is going to be dictated by the type of local network you're logging on to. I don't have any idea how to limit that when you don't control the network.

I'm moving your thread to the Networking section for the networking people to look at and modifying your title to reflect your privacy concerns.

    Regards - Charles

    1. For network share, go to cmd, type "net share" to find what you are sharing, then stop them if you have the permission.
    2. For local access, you can download a program called Ccleaner to help you clearn your private data whenever you want.

Sorry. We can't help you violate your company policies. Suggest you speak to your supervisor.
