I dunno what I've done or installed but now there is a folder in my root C:\ drive called Inetpub.

Does anyone know what this is and what its about. It containes various folders with various scripts.

I tried to delete it but the system wont let me.

I don't really want it there cluttering up my C drive.

How can I get rid of it and what is it anyway?

    Thanks

Inetpub = creating and publishing web sites.

Some software option you loaded placed the folder there and since it won't go away, it's
    - in use
    - protected

If protected and if you are really, really, really sure you just want to delete it, take ownership of the folder and delete.

If that fails, boot to the recovery console and delete from the command line. This will work for either protected or in-use since it won't be in use when you are in recovery console.

Why would you want to delete it?
It's another system folder, like many others in your PC. It doesn't take space, if you don't have a web site or an FTP server on your machine.
I am afraid that if you deleted it already, you might have problems in the future, if you will want to use any of this features.
    I hope I'm wrong.
