I have some weird fonts on everything ??

I have windows xp, after restarting the computer last night, everything now has this weird font like symbols or something. It's like squares, arrows, & lines, therefore i can't read any thing. I did manage to do a system restore but it would not restore because it said no changes to system have been made. Can anyone help ?

ginab - Welcome to the Board :)

For others reading this thread I received the following PM from ginab which covers the problem more comprehensively ....
Your first step is to uninstall TurboTax - if you can find it in Add/Remove Programs.

i have windows xp professional, after trying to install a Turbo Tax disk last night, i think the installation was sucessful, i had to restart in order to use Turbo Tax, after i restarted the pc, everything was link in chinese writing or really it looks like symbols, like squares and arrows and lines. All the file names and tool bars everything is in that font, so there for i can't read any of it and have no idea how to go about fixing it. I did following the pictures find my way to do a system restore to an earlier date and it said could not restore no changes have been made to your system. I also uninstalled Turbo Tax and restarted with the same problem. Can you help please ?

When I read your PM I was not aware that you had already posted a thread - I have merged your two threads into one.
