 Hi! I have a BRAND NEW-(4 months old)-Dell Dimension 8200, and I LOVED IncrediMail so much!! Then I started having numerous "unexplainable" PC problems that resulted in Dell having to do TWO (2)!! "clean reinstalls" of my Windows XP-Home OS!! When I casually mentioned Incredimail to the MANY Dell techs, multiple ISP techs, and friends with MUCH MORE PC knowledge than I, the ones that offered an opinion thought that perhaps the IncrediMail MIGHT be the culprit:eek: I posted this topic on the Windows XP section of this site, as well as on Lockergnome Forums, and I have gotten feedback--some of it positive, and some of it negative. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE PROGRAM, but I am NOT willing to mess-up my PC in order to use it. I was wondering if anyone on THIS forum has any info or experience with IncrediMail, and if so, please let me know what your thoughts are. One person had great concern about the EULA, but even though I paid for the "full version" of IncrediMail, I must confess that at the time I didn't know enough to ask! I've only been using a PC for about 14 months, and I went from Windows 95 on an old Vaio with a 2GB hard drive, to Windows XP on a BRAND NEW Dell with an 80GB hard drive!! It was like going from riding a bicycle to flying the Concorde--I STILL have whiplash from the transition:D Any comments will be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks for your help. Spookie

Incredimail is incredibly bloated. It does not play well with other children (Outhouse express for example).
Who needs (or wants) fancy backgrounds and signatures that just eat up bandwidth? How about NIL security, none, zip...welcome to trojanville.
    [/rant]
Sorry, just my opinion, but if you want a REAL email client that does the job, with no hassles, and no chance of a trojan getting through, get a client that handles email as if it were simple ASCII text. Anything sent with an extention (like all trojans!) is treated as an attachment, and shuffled off to the AV scanner.
Eudora Lite, and Pegasus are the only two I will consider, although Eudora full (adware) is a great client, most people don't need it's advanced functions, nor want it's ads.
BTW, they're both free for personal use, and support is free if you register.
