Sorry, not sure exactly what area this question should be posted in. Here. or elsewhere? I'm running W2KPro for OS. I posted this in that section but had no replies. I think this is a problem with a security setting as my only problems with functionality occur in user profiles that do not have administrator rights enabled.

The symptoms are that in Outlook 2003 (Student & Teacher Edition) the navigation pane is missing and, while e-mails are received and can be seen as present, when they are opened nothing displays. There is no visible text from the body of the e-mail. Also, Internet explorer will noy fully load or at least not fully display web pages and seems to also hang up at times. This occurs not only with I.E. but also if I try to open the control panel for Zone Alarm etc. with no browser or other programs open.

If I give those user profiles Admin. rights, everything functions fine.

My computer experience is just enough to be dangerous to my PC. Any ideas or help appreciated.

    Hello kspaulding,

    You answered your question.

This has been a chronic problem - certian parts of applications will not run without Admin rights. This is a problem mostly with the software developers who write their software this way.

Hopefully Vista - MS's comming OS - will mitigate this problem. Notice I didn't write solve it :D

    Regards - Charles
