Inconsistent e-mail delivery in OE6

    My sister e-mails a friend in China but lately she is getting e-mails returned as undeliverable. Some go through OK but some don't. She uses OE6, Win 2000 and her ISP is Aristotle. She has just started having thid troublr recently. What reason would there be for such inconsistent delivery? Thanks. Bobby

    More than likely the fault lies with the mail relays of the isp of the person in China. Many 3rd world country isp's have built in delays for email, upward to one hour lags. This is for various reasons: some countries monitor traffic and email contents, some have lower end hardware, some have limited bandwidth, etc etc.

    To know for sure, the causes/reasons for non-delivery will be displayed in the full email header of the returned messages.
