    Hi all,

I have AT&T as my DSL provider. I listen to Internet Radio stations and for the past 5 days or so, when I receive an incoming call, my internet connection gets cut off and I have to reload the page to listen again.

I've called tech support and replaced the filters, cables, re-set the modem — just everything — but it still happens.

Now, my sister lives 10 miles away and also has AT&T DSL, but it's provided through another company. She has the same exact problem.

I'd like to ask anyone with AT&T DSL, anywhere, to tune in to the two stations below (or try other internet stations that don't use WMP, or RP, or MP3 Player) and then have one of your friends call you and see if you experience the same dropout\disconnect problem. If you do, then I can look somewhere else to track down the problem. But if you don't have a problem, then it's narrowed down to my local telco office. AT&T insists it's my wiring; yet if it were just me and not my sister, too, that'd be another story. Plus, this just started about 5 days ago.

    I've used: SeaMonkey (v. 14 & 17), IE6, and FF 3.5.

    The stations are:

    Martinivision
    Live365

A similar thing used to happen to me a year back. I'd be browsing the internet, and when the phone rang I'd lose my wireless internet connection. It turned out that my wireless phones were interfering with the wireless network; changing the broadcast channel worked for me. I'm not sure if it's the same thing happening to you, because for me when the phone rang, the wireless connection would be lost completely until the phone was no longer being used.

    Hi Rob,

Wow! I've been waiting for 3 weeks now and you're the first person to respond! :D

Anyway, I don't have a wireless modem, I've got their 2-wire modem, and I'm hardwired to it. I've got a cordless phone, but my sister has a regular traditional phone and the same thing happens. She also has the SpeedStream 5100 modem, and is also hardwired.

And, all the sites I've checked refer to wireless (you're not alone with the interference issue), not cordless.

You know, I'da thought that someone on this list would be using AT&T DSL to test it out, but I guess not.
