Hi all. My first post here. Did my best to prepare for it. Ran Spybot and adaware. Or is it spyaware and adbot? Whatever. Ran hijack this. I would have run RSIT but my hijack is preventing my access to that URL. It is blocking other URLs too, basically anything that has to do with hijack removal.

Is there a mirror or some other location to get RSIT from?

So I have many sites blocked and seach engine hijacking. A bit of a mess, really.

    Hijackthis output:

    Hi dirtdad
    Welcome to WindowsBBS

    Please do the following,

Click here and select Open (or Run) to run a tool that will check your computer for a specific rootkit infection.
When the tool completes a log will open.
Please post the contents of that log.

Note - if you do not have the option to open or run, you may save it and run it from your hard drive

    Thanks
    Geri

    Hi dirtdad
    Ok.
Did you run a on line scan with Kaspersky? If not it would be a good idea to do so.

If anything is found post the results of the scan.

    Thanks
    Geri

    Hi
    Ok not so bad.

Open your Thunderbird mail and delete everything in the sent folder, then delete everything in the deleted items folder.

You should be good to go.
