Well, I've had two problems with my PC lately:

    • Whenever I login to my desktop, as everything is starting up - the cmd screen appears repeating the message 'C:\Documents and Settings\Christopher>del "C:\Documents and Settings\Christopher\Local Settings\History\History.IE5\MSHist012008112820081129\index.dat" The system cannot find the file specified.' This lasts only for a while, but it is somewhat strange and I don't know how to disable it. Do any of you guys know? If you need to see what the screen looks like, click HERE.

My next problem is with Adobe Illustrator... Whenever I click on the icon, instead of opening, it shows the message: The application or DLL C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS3\Support Files\Contents\Windows\BIBUtils.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette. Do any of you know what this means? Is it fixable? If you need to see what the window looks like, click HERE.

To conclude, I'm not too clever with computers and I haven't a clue what this means - can anyone help me out? Help is much appreciated. ;)

    Thanks for reading. ;)

Hi Cricky, and welcome to WindowsBBS :)

We need a log that will give us a better idea of what might be ailing your computer. Please download DDS and save it to your desktop.
    • Disable any script blocking protection
    • Double click dds.scr to run the tool.
    • When done, DDS.txt will open.
    • Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.
    • Save both reports to your desktop.
    ---------------------------------------------------

Please include the contents of the following in your next reply:

    DDS.txt

I may ask for the Attach.txt log later, so keep it handy.
