Hi, this is my first time asking for help on this site, and I hope someone can help me. I am experiencing the Google redirect as others are( click a Google link, random search engine thing pops up) and aside from that, I can't visit some sites altogether. Earlier, while trying to download a new antivirus (as of this typing, I am without an antivirus on my computer...-__-), I couldn't even access the site itself. Never mind the Google search not working, even if I just typed in www.avast.com, all I would get was the 'Page Load Error'.

So if anyone can help me out, it would be much appreciated.
This is all on Firefox btw, but I have tried accessing stuff on IE, but same problem.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS neogred :)

I suspect a particular infection is blocking you from tools which are meant to help. Lets check.

Click here and select Open (or Run) to run a tool that will check your computer for a specific rootkit infection.
When the tool completes a log will open.
Please post the contents of that log.

Note - if you do not have the option to open or run, you may save it and run it from your hard drive

Highlight and copy the following address, click Start>Run and paste it in then hit Enter. If it launches a download dialog, save the file to your desktop, then let me know you have it and I'll complete instructions for it's use. Likewise, let me know if the tool is blocked.

    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe

erm, I can't paste it into the run thingy?
I can paste it anywhere else, but when I try to put it into the run thing, nothing happens. o_O

edit:I just typed it in. -___-
But yeah, the thing is blocked; I hit enter, and it opens up a firefox tab and 'Page Load Error'.

    Sigh.

edit2:alright cool, I just got my friend to download it for me, so I have it now.
