Inactive [InActive] Computer Freezing, can't run ComboFix

You have been very helpful in the past and have requested (in the past) to run combofix and post. When my Windows XP computer began to "freeze up" (and I have to completely shut off and reboot) I decided to download combofix and post here for help. When I downloaded it, and then turned off firewall, etc. combofix won't run. I click on icon, it shows the hour glass for a couple of seconds and then it won't do anything. I also tried to simply "run" and not save and it says "error , cant save as combofix1. What do you suggest?

Please do this.

Open Notepad and copy/paste the contents in the quotebox below, into Notepad.

Save this as look.bat Choose to "Save type as - All Files "
Save it to your Desktop.

Double click on look.bat & allow it to run. Then post the log which it produces
