Just installed new programs in win98 (Palm software) and now my IBM win98 won't boot up into Windows. It gives an error box that says "Explorer caused an invalid page fault in module explorer.exe at 017F:00401f31. I don't have a boot disk.
Can I create one from another win98 computer? I also have a Dell win98. Then, is there a way to choose an old registry or something to get past the problem I obviously created yesterday?
Please help this poor person. And please speak in very simple ways as I am a long-time user but don't tech-speak.
    Thanks

Used the board to revert to an earlier registry and still get the error. Any other suggestions before I reinstall the whole
    works?

Thanks ... I ended up having to reload windows ... couldn't get it to boot in slow mode ... we live and learn. I was trying to install a palm program and had to uninstall it and I did it from the install disk. I think that was a mistake. I think all uninstalls should be done from the add/remove programs area.

    Thanks for your help.
