With 4.79 I use a brute force method to keep mail and bookmarks on 2 home networked PCs and a traveling laptop in sync. I keep track of folders that have new emails and copy the folder file and the associated .snm file between the three PCs in c:program files\Netscape\users\doug\mail

I have moved to 7.02 and I have found the mail files buried 57 layers down but some folders have associated .msf files and some don't. What do I copy to sync up or is there an easier way? I don't see an export or import function for 7.0 email.

I can do bookmarks but the 7.0 bookmark programmers must use whips and chains in their off hours.

    Thanks for any help. Doug

Welcome to the Forum, Doug A!

    Hi Doug,

What you should copy are the files without the .msf extensions.

Ensure that the correct MAIL directory is being referenced. The path is shown under Edit | Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings ||POP3| Server Settings | Local Directory

There is a very informative Newsgroup Thread relating to this subject, if you're interesting in following. The thread is quite lengthy, otherwise I would copy it here. The newsgroup is:
    snews://secnews.netscape.netscape7.windows
    The thread:

Keep us posted on your progress, or if you have problems.

    Ramona :D
