Impossible to remove spymaxx spyware!!!

Hello,

My client got hit by spymaxx spyware and he unknowingly installed that application.

I uninstalled it but the annoying popup messages plus hijacking the url kept on.

Neither CA antispyware, adware, spybot, spyware terminator, nor window defender, in regular and safe mode, cleaned the PC.

Now, I am opting for formating!!!!

Any advice before doing that?

Lets see what we can find. Download Deckard's System Scanner (dss.exe) and save it to your desktop.

• Close all applications and windows.
• Double click on dss.exe to run it and follow the prompts.
• When the scan is complete, two text files will open; main.txt, which will be maximized and extra.txt, which will be minimized.

Post the contents of main.txt only for now.

This may help, and if not, the most probable cause is a corrupt system.

Try clicking on Start
All Programs
PC Help & Tools
Application and Driver Recovery

These applications and drivers are stored to maintain Factory Defaults Settings.

After downloading the selected programs or drivers, you must restart your computer to activate them
This may resolve your problem

If this does not work, you may try creating a restore point or simply restoring your computer to an earlier date.

hello there,
as you've already tried several security tools, i suggest you also try removing SpyMaxx manually. it's not too complicated, just follow the removal instructions carefully. here's SpyMaxx removal.

Use Hijack This to get rid of all unknown startup programs.........Then.......

(the spoilers...)

Remove anything that has 'Java' in text line!

Then use a good spyware remover - like Spyhunter V3 - and thats it!

Good as gone!
