Hi, my mom-in-law spent hours typing in email addresses of our Congress into her Works word processing app. (not Word). Now she wants to "import" all the email addresses into her OE 5, and create a group, so when she wants to email them, she can select the group or part of it. Is there a way for me to do this for her? I don't use OE for PC much, use Mozilla email on PC & Eudora on Mac, so I would like to be pointed to good instructions (I went to the Tom's OE FAQ site BillyBob recommended some mos. ago, didn't find answer). But OE looks pretty accessible and you will not have to dumb down a reply to me. TIA.

    Hi larkin
Have you made any headway with this?
I just tried a "dirty" way, as I don't have Works. I created a comma seperated list of a couple of email addresses, copy and pasted them to notepad........and saved it to my desktop called test.txt
I then opened up outlook express.........went to file..then import other address book...chose text file........then hit import.
I used the browse button to find the test.txt file I'd saved to my desktop. When it went looking..it defaulted to *csv. I used the drop down menu to re-choose a text file. And I was given the choise to pick the addresses I wanted to add to my address book.

    Hope this helps?

Thank you. I did something similar, just opened excel and a web page containing congressional names & email addresses, and moved them over from the web page to spreadsheet via drag and drop. Saved as a .csv file and imported that. I did this for Alabama only, not going to do this for 535 members of congress. My M-i-L didn't have a list after all, but this method is too complicated for her. So I'll ask around, there must be a nonprofit that has done this already (put in .csv).
