Importing Outlook into Netscape

I've been successful importing 5 Outlook .pst files into Netscape 7.2 until the very last one. They are all huge files. My error is: "An error occurred importing mail from Outlook. Unable to create folder to import mail into." Help!!! As it happens--Murphy's Law caught me on the last file!!! This has been a project since January 1st and it would be complete if it weren't for the last file.....

ALL help is appreciated right now.....

 

I have had, always, this thing about, even having, large mail files. Do you still have Outlook, and did you try to break the file to something more manageable.
Of course, you should try to import the file into Outlook Express or Netscape 4.x to see if it does the same thing. I am pretty positive that there is a conversion to the Netscape format, and not a moving of the file, so, it should still be it was, originally.
Error, often, occur when there is some junk mail item in the Inbox, so, some bookkeeping may not be a bad idea. It has been my experience that the easier time you give the program, the greatest likelyhood of success.

I'm not sure how to put an image file with the error that I receive when importing outlook into netscape, so, this is the error: "An error occurred importing mail from Outlook. Unable to create folder to import mail into." Currently I'm dividing the outlook file into months and will try to import again. I will post back.....;

 

infected emails

The bottom line on this problem was quite a few infected emails. The older emails were infected with viruses prior to user updated their anti-virus definition list. Therefore the virus had infected quite a few files/folders.

After hours and hours of cleaning, removing, restoring, file after file, the emails are now safe to read and in place correctly. This was a version confliction problem also. Netscape 7.x will in fact open Outlook 2003 emails without having to "export" the Outlook *.pst file. Do not close the folder you want to import into Netscape. Netscape will find the Outlook .pst file and import smoothly.
