    Hi

I'm having trouble importing OE6 email. I'm trying to import all my email from one computer (WinME) to a new WinXP Home machine. I tried to copy the mail folders (to a CD) and import them but can't seem to get the XP machine to reckognize the mail files. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Got to the first computer and export. Note the OE version 5or 6 etc.

Take these to the new computer and import, chose the correct vers and bingo!

Thanks for the reply. When I try exporting the files, I get a message that says "This will export messages from Outlook Express to Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange" then nothing seems to happen. Any help?

Go into OE on the exporting machine. tools-options-general-make default.

    At bottom of screen.

    Ok...

That box is grayed out so I guess it's the default?

    Ok! Then try this.

You have the mail boxes copied to a cd. Import from them by telling it to get from "Store Folder" then tell it what version the incoming is.

Will be offline for 1-2 hrs. Will check in then.
