I've been using Netscape 7.2 for my cable account and Netscape 4.79 for my old dial-up account (I still use it for email I only want to check occasionally.)
All of a sudden when I try to open 4.79 I get the message that it encountered problems and needs to close.

It's time to upgrade my email program. I know that 7.2 can import mail from 4.79 but I use 7.2 for other accounts. Does any one know if Eudora can import my Netscape 4.79 messages. If not, do you know of a good email program that can.

    thanks

    rusty2,

You can have as many Mail Accounts as you want in Netscape 7.2, so if you want to Import 4.79 Mail:

    Open Netscape 7.2 Mail
    Click on Tools | Import
    Select: Mail
Next: Highlight Communicator 4.x, and Click "Next "
Your 4.79 Mail will be imported.

    OR

You can use Thunderbird 1.07, which will also migrate 4.79 Mail. See this Screen Shot.

You can download Thunderbird here: http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/

I just downloaded Thunderbird and was able to download email from my old account for the first time in several days. Many many thanks.
