Because my idiot broadband provider will not let me use an alias e-mail address for outgoing mail on Outlook (only Outlook Express), I have to use Outlook Express for one e-mail account.

I want to import my address book amd messages from Outlook into Outlook Express but it seems designed to only import from Outlook Express into Outlook. Is there another way to import into Outlook Express? Alternatively, are the Outlook Folders compatible with Outlook Express so that I could copy them from one location and paste them in another and if so, what are the relevant locations?

boutells--Have you tried Outlook Express File|Import|Messages? Seems to offer to import messages and address book from Outlook to OE on my PC.

Oulook Express [import address book and mail from Outlook]

    Jim,

It appears to work for the messages but not the address book and I can't locate the appropriate file for the Outlook address book.

For the Address Book try exporting your Outlook Address book as a csv (comma separated values) file and save to disk. Go into Outlook Express choose File > Import > Other Address Book and look for Text File (comma separated values) and click on that to import.
