Hello everyone, recently I've been running into a strange problem regarding the right Alt key.

Being bilingual, I use the Korean IME to write Korean (obviously).

Now, until recently, I was able to switch between English and Korean using the right alt key, and convert it into Chinese characters with the right Ctrl key.

Then one day, it stopped doing that. Now, right alt behaves just like the left alt - it toggles to the menu shortcut on the top of the window (Like "File" would be "alt-F ")

Anyway, does anyone have an idea what this is about? I've compared my keyboard-related registry values with my friend's computer that works fine, and they're same.

My keyboard driver is up to date, as well as my mouse driver. Just one day it started acting like this.

    Can anyone please help me?

    Welcome to the forum jwyoo123.

Have you tried a different keyboard?

    Keyboard?

Well, I'm currently using HP ZD7000 laptop, although I am considering getting a secondary keyboard for pure mashing purposes XD
(I play fighting games with keyboards, I know thats unusual but o well  )

Also, I don't have Office XP so it won't install, and I don't think I need it since WinXP already carries the IMEs.

I'm still searching why the right alt and ctrl key suddenly started to act like the left counterparts.
