    Images saving as Bitmaps and not GIF's and JPEG's. Deleted Temp Internet Files and had a look to see if all "objects" in tools -> options have "installed" as their status, which they do. Using IE6 with SP1. Got all patches installed from windows update, expect 811493 if that matters.

    Any ideas?

    See if the information on MS KB article 260650, Internet Explorer Does Not Save Graphics Files in the Proper Format or the information in the article it links to is of any help.

    The cache being full is only one of those listed that can cause the problem; specifically, in IE>Tools>Advanced and under Security, make sure "Do not save encrypted programs to disk" is unchecked.
