I was running firefox 1.5 and upgraded to 2.0.0.11 and now when I try to view any jpg it defaults to resize to fit the window. How do I get it to default to the jpg's real size? There use to be a box in the options to check to either resize or not to fit the window.
Plus I read that the firefox 2 series is a memory hog and uses up to 400 megs. Is this true?
I'm a firefox diehard fan. I'll only use Internet Explorer for windows updates.

    Swedeman,

There is no longer a setting in Firefox for resizing images, but you can control the resizing by using the following instructions:

    1. Clear the Firefox Location Bar, and enter: about:config in
    2. In the Filter field, enter: browser.enable_automatic_image_resizing
    3. If the setting shows a Value of True, then right click that setting, and select: Toggle

This is an excellent explanation of the Firefox memory usage, and several way to minimize memory used:

You don't have to use Internet Explorer any longer for Windows Updates. Instead, use the IE Tab extension, and you can do your Windows Updates using Firefox. You can install the IE Tab extension here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419

Let us know if you have further questions.
