Resolved "Image box" in message shows URL rather than image

I recently received a message that included what was supposed to be an image, but the "image box ", if that's what it's called, showed only a URL. Clicking on it did nothing, and nor could I copy it. I had to type the whole rather lengthy URL into my browser's address window to access the site, where I was able to see the image.

After contacting the sender of the message about the problem, she reported back that she could see the image in the message that she sent back to herself.

TB's Options show nothing that might have any bearing on the problem, but I'm wondering if there's anything in about:config that would.

Any thoughts?

antik ... There wasn't anything there that pertained to the "problem ".

There were multiple "image boxes" in the message I referred to but, in an effort to streamline my post, I cut them down to one. The inline images were there all the time, but it was necessary to scroll down past the last "image box" to see them.

I still don't know why they didn't show up in place of the "image boxes ", but I'll mark the topic resolved anyway.
