i'm new needs help with hijackthis please

i am a new member so i want to say hi to every every every body here and thanks god that leads me to this forum .. its amazing. may god bless you and yours.

while i was looking around checking if there is anyone has same computer problem like what i have, i took the conclusion and download hijackthis and scan.

before listing the scan result i just want to ask about the hijackthis program what is its advantages and disadvantages "hopefully some information about the program" .... i will appreciate it with many thanks

also what shall i do after scanning since i just scan to show you the result and go from there.

i recently realize that:

1- my computer is slower than it was before while i browse the net

2- my tutorial cd "which scanned - no virus" did not show me the explanation vedio but i can hear the voice..... this maybe because i upgrade the media player (i don't really remember what i did that time but all what i remember is that i took the cd out and decide to keep the tutorial for later.

3- most of the programs which i installed are not mentioned in the list of add/remove program.

4- on the left side of add/remove program the button of change or remove program is clicked (highlighted) but doesn't work. i mean i can't remove any of the programs which i highlighted. also the botton on the right side from it has disapeared. (there is no button beside the program on the right side to remove it.

5- some of the programs shown on "all programs from the start menu" but can't run maybe because it is damaged or corrupted. and when i tried to uninstall it, it was not listed. (here another question which is how can i uninstall it?)

ps: today i uninstall the norton antivirus and install the NOD32 and scanned the whole thing and it showed no virus.

HijackThis is more effective after the use of Spybot and Ad-Aware. It is meant for final cleanup, but lately is used for final diagnosis and some surgery.
Your log is clean, but would you like to see your installed programs? Get List Installed Programs, and post it's log onto here. Something may show up there.
Go ahead and download Reg Lite.
