Resolved If Enable protected mode is checked am I automatically running I.E. 64bit

    I'm using I.E. 11. If I have enable protected mode checked am I automatically running the 64 bit version?

    I read the thread about 32 vs 64 bit version and am thoroughly confused.

    I read that thread and got lost. I obviously misunderstood it if I'm not
    necessarily running I.E. 64bit.

    If you are using the regular Protected Mode then you are still running the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer. If you enable the Enhanced Protected Mode feature in Internet Explorer then you enable 64-bit tabs in Internet Explorer.

    I have enable protected mode checked. Out of curiosity, where is the option to check enhanced protected mode located? I couldn't find it under the security tab in I.E. options. (I could just be blind).

    The option is located on the Advanced tab in Internet Options at the bottom.
