My old desktop(not listed in sys specs) when trying to connect to IE11 keeps giving me this error message: Application was unable to start correctly(0x80000003). Click OK to close the application. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. I went on google.com with my business machine and tried fixes listed there on the desktop, but, nothing seems to work. Can't remember which ones I've tried. I lost track of which ones as there were many.

L J have you tried going back to IE 10 or 9 to see if it is caused by IE11? Neil.

Still can't access the internet and IE 11 is uninstalled there isn't any way I can even get close to accessing the internet. The OS didn't automatically revert to the previous version IE 10.

Hi LJ. Do other web browsers connect to the Internet such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox?

Have you tried a sfc /scannow to see if the files are still intact? Neil.

Tried sfc /scannow: every seems Ok. Did a Repair Windows no good. Every time I tried to access the internet I get Windows cannot find C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe. Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again. Neil when I uninstalled IE I cannot get any version of IE to install. Due to the fact that I cannot access the internet. So therefore Evan I cannot access the internet repair tool you posted. I'm connected NIS updated virus definitions.

    LJ:

When I downloaded Windows 10, planning to try it out, it installed itself and wiped out IE11 in favor of "Edge ". For some screwball reason, Edge doesn't have an e-mail function. I'm using Google Chrome as my only web browser at the moment, even though Edge is resident.

I honestly don't miss IE at all! I do have a resident program for IE11, but when I click on its link, it takes me to "MSN.com" instead.

An Apple lap-top is becoming a more and more likely acquisition!!

LJ, use a different computer to download the Complete Internet Repair program and save it to a flash drive. Then plug in the flash drive on the computer with no Internet access and run it from the flash drive.

It's like there isn't any browser installed. I'm connected but can't actually access the internet. I can't download or install anything. I put iexplore.exe and the Quick Launch: Launch Internet Explorer Browser short cut onto a DVD Disk and try that route. The machine is still protected NIS accessed their server to update virus definitions so I'm not too worried. Always been intriqued by Apple OSs. Fixed a couple of them one user let me use his for awhile and it wasn't to bad just a lot of clicking to get to things. Probably because I didn't really know the OS that well.

Ok thats understandable but you still didn't address my suggestion of running the Complete Internet Repair program from a flash drive. Please try my suggestion and then post back with an update with whether you can access the Internet.

I put it on a flash drive. I downloaded IE 11 to a disk but it would not install. Windows encountered a problem and will advise when there is resolution to the problem.

Ok you attempted to install IE11 but was there an error message? Did you run the Complete Internet Repair tool yet?

That program keeps asking me to choose what app I want to open it in. It's running AU3 files. I even created a folder Network Repair and still will not run.

Download and Run FixExec which will repair .exe file extensions. Then reboot the computer and see if you can now run the Complete Internet Repair tool.

Ran FixExec. Still can't run Complete Internet Repair Tool. After uninstalling IE. Any shortcut referring to IE shows a message shortcut does not work would you like to delete it. iexplore.exe is missing in C:\Program Files\IE. In C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\MS\QuickLaunch\ Launch Internet Explorer Browser shortcut is missing.

Downloaded Internet Explorer 11 to a flash drive. Got it installed but I'm back to the original problem: The application was unable to start correctly(0x80000003). Click OK to close the application. Launch Internet Explorer Browser is still missing in Quick Launch.
