    Hello all!

A simple question from a guy whos maternal language is a minority language (IE7 not yet in swedish):

On WinXP SP2, does upgrading to IE7 bring any changes to Outlook Express?

    Thanks,
    Christer

    Hi Christer

Not that I've noticed except that OE takes longer to open with IE 7 - on my box at least, but then other programs also do so recently and I suspect IE is not the cause.

FYI version of OE after loading IE 7 is as shown in the screenshot below.

    Thanks Pete!

I have browsed the web for information and am aware that there is no new version of Outlook Express included in IE7 and your version is the same as mine. Not even a security upgrade ... :( ... but the reason may be that from now on (with Vista) Internet Explorer and Windows Mail will be two separate items, right?

Certainly Windows Mail has replaced Outlook Express in Vista, but whether or not they are still irrevocably linked I do not know.

Although I have installed, courtesy of MS via the beta testing program (I found a bug which was acknowledged and that was my reward :)) a copy of Vista Ultimate Gold I have yet to persuade my broadband connection to play ball with Vista. Thus I have not been able to look at Windows Mail.
