    I just updated to IE7.

Now when I highlight text (eg cnn.com), the darkblue highlight makes the black type underneath unreadable. With IE6 this was not a problem.

I notice if I highlight text in WordPad, the text changes to white and is perfectly readable with the blue highligt.

Oops! I just noticed that I am using a slightly magnified text size OF 110% (using my Logitech thumb wheel feature) . When I rotate it back to the normal size, the text does change to white as before.

This did not happen this way in IE6.

Is there another setting somewhere that will fix this?

    thanks

I am not certain there is a granular level control for the highlight color.

    Try this:

Tools, Internet Options, General tab, and click color.
    Uncheck 'Use Windows color'
Change the color of the 'Unvisited' selection.
You might also try (do this as a seperate step) fiddling with the 'background' setting in conjunction with a change to the 'Unvisited' color.

I honestly do not know if it will help.

    Bill,

Good try but none of that apparently affects the highlight color when in the magnified mode. Someone suggested trying to download a current NVIDIA driver which I will try shortly.

The NVIDIA driver idea sounds like a good one.

I wish you the best of luck with this.

    And, Happy Thanksgiving.
