    Greetings all,

I have run into a problem at work where in one case a vp could not access in this case UPS.com. What i did after reseting all IE settings and so on was remove to orginal condition and then re-install IE6. Well mine is doing the same thing only its CDW.com and, murphy's law, my add/remove option on IE6 does not give me restore option does anyone know of a tool to remove IE from a pc since no un-install option is available?

If it is just that site ( www.cdw.com ) or a couple of sites that you can't acess, then it could be something as simple as an incorrect HOSTS file entry. Look for a Hosts file with no extension ((NOT Hosts.sam) in C:\Windows. Either REname it (Xhosts would be fine) or open it with Notepad and remove any line referencing cdw.com

It might also help if you delete all Temporary Internet Files and cookies.

    See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;241344
Error Message: The Page Cannot Be Displayed for more information.

I'm not sure what you meant by not having a restore or uninstall option..

    Hey, that's great!

Ypou are right about people forgetting the "basics" when problems arise.

I try to clean up temporary files and cookies at least once a month as part of general housekeeping but sometimes they do build up.
