I'm using windowsxp sp1 with all the ms security updates. My ie6 some time ago stopped been able to access secured pages. Whenever I access a secured page, I got a message: the page can not be displayed. Have called MS, and applied their fix for SSL2 time out error, still not working. All setting are MS default, and cookie is enabled.

    Thanks

Try IE Tools>options.advanced tab scroll down to use SSL 2.0 and use SSL3.0. They should be checked. Get rid of your temp files and temp internet files also. Virus defs current, Spyware present?

I unchecked mine and tried my bank and got an instant cannot display this page. Put the check marks back and all is well again.

If they are already checked, try un-checking and rechecking and apply.

    Bill,

Thanks for your replay. I finally found out that after I uninstalled Norton Internet Security software, I was able to access secured pages again.
