Just upgraded to IE6/OE6 & the 2/11/02 security patch... having trouble with certain web sites- instead of a pop-up logon window, IE returns the error 'You are not authorized to view this page You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied.'

    (e.g. www.webiard.com/iad )

Changing the security level to low did not help. Upon adding this site to the trusted sites list, it functions properly and allows me to log in.

Also having a possibly related problem accessing Hotmail via outlook express - it continually asks for the password and refuses to pull messages now. I modified the zone for outlook express from restricted to Internet, no change. Even added *.msn.com and *.hotmail.com to trusted sites, no luck again.

    Thanks!

I figured it out - the logon was set to anonymous. Case closed.
