Today I open OE 6 at home and I instantly get 2 boxes that pop open. The first says Error 30, the box behind it says error running script. I have to click the smaller error box first and when I do, both go away. OE d/l's emails, I can type in an email address to send email but can't type in the subject or body.

I noticed in OE that I am unable to highlight and copy any text in received emails as well. I got a msimnn illegal op a couple of times.

Problem in IE6 - Well, I'm writing this quickly from work as I cannot click or tab and put the cursor into a search box on any site. I can click in a username entry box but not type although I am given a drop down selection of things I have typed before. If I select a username/login and then try to use the text entry box on any site to enter my password...no dice.

I tried to go to the microsoft site to look for help...alas...I can't type in a query.

Awhile back I also noticed that if I right click on the time at the bottom right of my screen, I do see adjust time/date but if I click it nothing appears although the pointer flashes quickly from an arrow to an hourglass.

My home comp was running fine yesterday and at the end of the evening I thought I should reboot because the mouse movement felt slow to respond. Reboot hung up and an end task box popped up that was labeled [hidden window].

I ran ad-aware but I'm not sure what to get rid of. Cookies for places like valueclick are fine I'm sure but I'm not sure what cydoor or aureate are about.

I have rebooted several times and gone through a complete shutdown.

ACK! I hope I can fix this...it's difficult when I can't use a browser to search or login or anything. :(

    Any suggestion appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Sheila

As far as Adaware goes, I delete everything it finds. Have you done a full virus scan with up to date definitions? What version of Windows?

    Try this.
Clear Forms and Passwords Information in the AutoComplete History
To clear forms and passwords information in the AutoComplete settings in Internet Explorer:
    Start Internet Explorer.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
On the Content tab, click AutoComplete.
Click Clear Forms, click Clear Passwords, and then click OK.

    Hi,

I had just finished (about the time your response was posted) rolling back to IE5 since IE6 would not allow me to repair. This seems to have fixed the problem.

The date/time issue I was having was fixed by getting a copy of timedate.cpl from a friends computer and putting it into windows\system.

Thanks for your help. I am going to go ahead and clear forms and passwords. It sure can't hurt.

    Best wishes,
    Sheila
