IE6 Freezing only on 1 website

    I just purchased a DELL Inspiron computer. Now, when I go to Orlando Sentinel homepage, it freezes up on me. The only way to close it is with the Task Manager. I am sure this may happen on other websites that I haven't been to yet.

    I tried going to this website on my laptop and even though it was slow, it did download it.

    Can someone assist me with this?

    Which version of IE is the laptop using - if 7 upgrade your Dell to 7.

    Alternatively ensure that Java is up to date on the Dell - download latest version here ....

    Thank you so much on your response! I updated Java, which didn't help it. I then updated to IE7 and now works!

    You're welcome :)

    You should now go to Add/Remove programs and uninnstall the older version of Java.
