 Can anyone explain to me why the address drop down lines would keep disappearing from the program. This happens at no certain interval. The previouslly visited address lines in the drop down box just dissapear. It got to be such a pain I put them in the favorites.

The addresses are cleared when you clear your history. So, if you manually clear your history or have some sort of program that does this sort of thing for you, they'll disappear. Could this be what's happening?

TomF--First in, first out. That list should be cleared according to the number of days you have set in IE Tools|Internet Options|General tab|History section. However, you are accumulating these addresses based on your settings in IE Tools|Internet Options|Content tab|Personal Information|AutoComplete settings.

:) History is set at 10 days and all but the forms box is ticked in personal information. First in first out would be OK, but they all dissapear at one time instead of one at a time like they used to.

Tom F--That is weird, unless you have a whole bunch of addresses from Day 10 (actually 10 days ago) which just got deleted because of your setting.
You probably know that these addresses are stored in C:\Windows\History. At least that is where they are in Win98.
Have you look to see if they are still there?

I found mine in C:\documents and settings/(your name)/local settings/history and then you get 2 weeks ago-last week- today in XP Home edition. Must be something that hands it off to IE6?
