Lately when trying to open many web pages, I will either get the two prompts to save or open file.... or a page full of gibberish (code) or an empty page with maybe one little picture or icon in the upper left corner.

MS knowledge base says that IE is not able to read the source code thus comes up with a save file prompt (MS does not offer a fix for this however.)

I was thinking that it may just be bad web programming but if I click on an offending link repeatedly it will eventually load correctly.

I've reinstalled the latest version of IE and also tried the detect and repair function but to no avail. It seems as whatever part of IE that recognizes and decodes page information has a cold or something.
