When I run a registry cleaner I get a number of entries sating IE5. Since I am using IE8 can these be deleted?

I will be off line for 2 hours but will check for answer ASAP.

    Thank you.

When in doubt - leave them. Out of a few million enties in the registry - removing a few hundred/thousand won't make any difference.

As with ALL reg cleaners - onw wrong move can turn your pc into a boat anchor.

    Which cleaner are you using?

If you are talking about the Content.IE5 folder just run Disk Cleanup.

    C:\Documents and Settings\LocalService\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5
