IE11 stopped working

Using Win 7 64bit o/s. I have IE11 installed on a desktop system and my laptop. IE11 is completely updated in both systems (as is the o/s).

However, when bookmarking a website on my laptop I keep getting he error message "Internet Explorer has stopped working ". Then refreshes the web page. I cannot save bookmarks. This does not happen on my desk top system.

I am "lost" - any help please?

How is your network connection? Is your Laptop on wireless or cable. Neil.

Retired learner: Both wireless connections. And when I connect laptop by cable, same result.

 

This happens when you Right click on page > Menu > Add to Favourites or does the Right click produce the message that IE has stopped working?
I don't use IE but tried it on my W8.1 IE11 and it worked for me using the 1st Method. Neil.

 

Evan: Tried "reset internet explorer" (as per MS website advice) problem remains.

Retiredlearner: The "right click" method also give the message "internet explorer has stopped working"

Hi Ivr181, You don't mention what Brand and Model your laptop is but I found this link and it might be worth looking at to see whether you have the same type laptop.

The guy has an Acer laptop and obviously Graphic drivers were the problem. Neil.

My laptop is an HP G62
