I've been having problems with certain programs because of my router, so I followed the directions on http://portforward.com/. A few minutes afterwards, IE stopped working (Cannot find server or DNS Error
Internet Explorer). This also happened the last time I tried to fix my port forwarding settings. IE would work for a few minutes and then that was it. Aim and aol etc all work. The problem is, I'm getting rid of aol, so I need IE to work. Any Help?

Have you checked for a firmware update for your router? If not, do and you will most likely find a newer version. Follow their directions to install the update on your router.

Why are you setting up port forwarding and what specific ports are you working with? The problems you describe sound more like the ones associated with opening & closing ports rather than forwarding them.

Also, your thread title speaks of changing the port forwarding settings so can we assume that you have (or had) it working at one time?
