    Hello All~

I have been trying to use the www.jetsgo.net site and cannot get past the first page...where you click the GO button to find out what flights are available for the paramenters that you have put in.

I have been told by a Jetsgo representative that my IE Security settings need to be on LOW but they seem to be permenantly set on MEDIUM...I have tried and tried to change them by going to Tools>Internet Options>Security>Internet Zone>Custom Level>Reset Custom Settings>Rest To>Low>Reset... but when I check again it is back at MEDIUM...so I go thru it again but this time click on Default Level and then moving the slider to LOW... but when I try that to do that a message comes up that says "The recommended security level for this zone is Medium. The level you have chosen is lower that this. Please choose a security levl of 'Medium' or higher.

Am I trying to change it the wrong way?

Is it possible that SP2 is preventing me?

I have WinXP SP2 installed and have had no problems but a friend thought this might be the problem and to restore my computer to before I installed SP2.

    What can I do?
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks, SusieB

    I have IE Version: 6.0.2900.2180.xp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158

Instead of the Security tab, try changing the setting to Low on the Privacy tab.

Tried that and I still can't get that site to work...why can't I change the other setting to low.

Should I try rolling back with the System Restore to before I put SP2 on? and if I do do I have to reinstall SP2...I've made restore points before but never rolled back and or anything else.

    Thanks so much

I had friends last night on MSN Messanger with me go on jetsgo and try to help me out...aggh! :( They have it working all the time.

I have also tried disabling my Firewall, cleared ny internet temp files and stuff like that but the representaavie from Jetsgo said you have to be on Low Secutiry settings.

Try adding the site to your trusted sites.

I tried the site and it worked fine. My security settings are pretty much on medium with just a few changes that I've made. All of the changes I've made in the the internet zone are more strict than the default. You should be able to access the page with your settings at medium. It would appear that somethings broke somewhere. What happens when you click on the go button? Any error message, page not found or something similar?

How do you add to your trusted sites a site that doesn't have httpS in it's url...it only has http...says you must have a site that is httpS.
I tried adding that extra S and the site still does not work.

The rep said I MUST have my Security setting on LOW and that I cannot do...it wants to stay at MEDIUM!!

Untick the check box 'Requires server verification (https:) ... and leave it unchecked.

For the jetsgo site problem: In Internet Explorer>Tools>Internet Options>Privacy tab>Advanced button, see what you have checked for cookie handling options. Under First Party Cookies, check "Accept" and check "Always allow session cookies," click OK and OK again, see if the site works.

For the security settings problem: Do you have any other security and/or cookie handling software installed? For example, do you have Spybot's Internet Explorer options checked in Spybot>Tools (left pane)>IE Tweaks (right pane)? Are you using Spyware blaster or anything similar? If so, check in those programs to see if settings there are affecting the security settings in IE.

I tried the jetsgo site with both Internet Explorer and Firefox and it worked with both. In IE, I have security set at medium. I have Spyware blaster and have set it to "protect" both IE and Firefox. All that leads me to believe you don't need the security settings at Low and the Jetsgo rep was blowing smoke, maybe? ;)

I keep my browser set fairly hardened (secure) because I routinely surf to some nasty sites and want to see what they intend to use to bite me.

Putting them in your trusted sites (if you do really, totally trust these folks not to do any nastys to you) should take care of the problem but when I clicked on your link, I got the following and the blown link when I tried to see how they suggested I activate javascript (which I do have set to run after it asks permission) doesn't inspire lots of confidence. I got these windows, in the order shown. The last one came when I clicked their link for a how-to on enableing javascript.

    Thanks for all your help.
Finally got it figured out...for the Jetsgo site I had to disable BOTH my firewall and AV BEFORE opening IE...not too pleased about that but it was the only way...and I STILL didnt; get the flight I wanted after all that

Thanks for posting back. It seems odd that you'd have to disable your AV and firewall to access the sight. It probably has something to do with what Newt posted about. Can't remember just what the issue was for him though and I see he's took his thumbnails out now so..... Maybe he'll see this and refresh my memory???? Out of curiosity, what kind of AV/firewall do you use?
