Having trouble on my wifes computer, she don't know what she did.
Every few minutes IE will open on it's own with some kind of ad, when you want to do something there's 10 - 20 IE windows open and all these "Download free screen savers" etc. ready to download. sometimes when you close one, two more pop up.

Cable connection Running XP Pro SP1.
nothing shows in add remove programs, have pc-cillin 2004 with firewall shows No Virus, just downloaded and ran the new ad aware and spybot S&D, they both got rid of a whole lot of Junk, but did not get what's causing IE to open all these web page ads.

Let's try a couple of things first.
    Get ShootTheMessenger and use it.
Did you update Spybot and Ad-Aware before using them? They do not always come up to date with their detections.
Then get HijackThis, and unzip it into it's own folder. Do the scan and then post the log on here. Do not do anything with HJT, yet. The link is below.

    Thanks for the links.
Yes, I have the newest ad aware and spybot. I ran shoot the messenger and did a scan with HJT, here's the log.

    The log Looks great,,

Are there any problem's youve noticed ?

There is an optional fix.. In Logitech options set it to not check for updates.
then if this is still present in the hijackthis scan fix it.
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [LDM] C:\Program Files\Logitech\Desktop Messenger\8876480\Program\BackWeb-8876480.exe
    and then restart the PC.

Iespyadds is a great idea to prevent reinfection's
