    I am using IE 5.0

Some websites I go to, the navigation buttons are replaced with that funny little rectangular box containing the red square diagonaly above the blue octagon (?) inside the space where the navigation button should be.

I was told this is a result of my Java being enabled. I have gone to the Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Microsoft VM and put checks in the Java console enabled, Java logging enabled, and JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled boxes. I have then restarted my computer. This hasn't enabled me to view the navigation buttons in question.

Thanks for your time and help.

Does it work on another system?

Are you getting these java problems on most websites or just this one?

Could it be just a bad page load when the author uplaoded the webpage?

    Thanks for your questions.

I get Java problems occasionally on other websites, also. I say occassionally, because I don't know which are and are not. So it may work occassionally.

I did go to the MS IE help page, and it seemed to comfirm that I was having some problems. The solutions that it set out for me seemed a bit beyond my comfortable zone. I will use it as a last resort, but I was hoping someone on here might have an easier solution.
