When I try to invoke IE, a connection wizard keeps popping up. I can't use IE if I don't go through the connection wizard. How do I stop the connection wizard from popping up ?

One of two solutions may help.

1.The next time it appears, click Cancel, and then select the Don't show the Internet Connection Wizard next time option.

2.Start\Run, type in Regedit and press enter.
Navigate to this Key in the left pane.
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Connection Wizard
    Highlight by clicking on it.
In the right pane look for a Value named Completed. If not there, create it by right clicking in a blank area and selecting New\DWORD Value, and then name it Completed. DWORD Value will appear when the mouse hovers over New.
Right click on Completed and select Modify, and change to 1. Then click on OK.
    Reboot.
