Hello, I have started to use Netscape 6.2.2's Mail Program instead of Outlook Express. I have made Netscape Mail my Default. My question is I want to keep Internet Explorer as my default browser, so when I get an e-mail with a link & I click on it , how can I get IE to open instead of Netscape Navigator. I hope I have explained myself clearly,,,
    Thanks,,Paul D.

    Hi PAULDEP,

    First, some basic questions:

Do you start Netscape from windows?
In preferences, under Appearance, enable Netscape Mail as the only option

In IE, under Tools|Options|Programs is Netscape 6.x listed as an option under the "E-mail" or "News" drop-down menu?

I'm sure that you have enabled IE as the default browser.

Hi RAMONA, in Prefrences under appearence, I only have Netscape Mail checked as the only option.
In IE under Tools, Options, Programs, beside Mail it says Netscape Mail 6.2, next to Internet Call it has MS Net Meeting, next to Contact it has Address Book. At the top of the page next to HTML Editor there is nothing in that window, next to Newsgroups it says Outlook Express. Also RAMONA at the bottom of that page there is a small box checked that says IE should check to see if its the default Browser. But when I open Netscape Mail & click on a link it opens Navigator. I want to keep using IE as my browser with Netscape Mail as my E-mail program. What else could I be doing wrong?
Thank you for getting back to me,,
    Paul

    No can do!

    Hi PAULDEP,

    You've done nothing wrong!

By selecting Netscape 6 Mail/News as Default, you are actually setting "Netscape 6" as your default browser.

Mail is merely a feature or component of Netscape 6, not a separate program.

So.... if'n you want to use Netscape 6 Mail/News, then Netscape 6 will be your default browser, not IE.

    N4.7x mail with IE browser

Could you tell me how to do this in Netscape 4.7x? My company is using 4.75, would we need to move to 4.79?
