    hello brilliant computerusers!
    This is the fact.
when using IE I have to wait for approx 3 - 5 minutes to get answers - the IE dont respond it is when I am writing here for example . to movning from headline to this place took me aprox 2½ minutes!
Background new install of Windows 2000 Professional with all the SP3 and IE security update pathches.¨
I have tried to remove these two Q329170 and Q328310 but it wont help.
Then I tried to use the NAVA's tweaks from PCPTISTOP 1. TCP/IP internet tweak-script and DNS scripttweak and resize the IE to 49MB for Tempfiles.
    nothing seems to be helping.
I then used the SiSoftSandra to find out if I am running unnecessary services and tryied my best to stop and made them manually starting.
I have Norton Internet Security with personal firewall and Antivirus and also SystemSuite 4's antivirus scanning in background but disabled the SystemSuite (Ontrack www.v-com.com)
I figured out that this delay appeard when some of the MS updates patches hotfixes where downloaded!!!
This is so annoying because I want to use IE!
I then tried OPERA7 and it works like a flash!
So the problem seems to be in the IE itself!!
Can I uninstall the IE 6 or repair it or...doing it so it returns to the very DEFAULT condition!
I love this W2K - )this desktop is running it well but never got any longer the WXPP working than 3 days tried to install WinXPP 11 times) so I now stick to W2K!
Please can some of you brillant and beatuiful minds figure any sense to my present problem with the minuteslong delays on IE 6 - after the 4-5 minutes it responds accurately---but minutes....

just a shot in the dark --

In Control Panel, go to Addremove Programs, click windows tab, then Microsoft Internet Explorer, click remove to hopefully display a button to revert back to earlier (or original) edition of IE.

    hope this helps
