My computer won't open Internet Explorer, whenever I click on it the following error message appears:

    ---
    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

    Runtime Error!

    Program C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
    ---

I have run Ad-aware 6 and Spybot as well as Norton antivirus and got rid of any malicious ware I found but the problem still persists. I read that it could be a problem with conflicted Java programs, so I uninstalled MS Virtual Machine, leaving Suns Java as the only Java program. Hopefully you guys can help. Here is the Hijack log.

    Hi Valyekrin and welcome.

Spyware wouldn't be my first thought with a C++ runtime error in the IE program file. Do you have reason to think that is the problem?

I think I'd try a repair by getting to a start->run line and running
    Code:
    sfc /scannow
    .

I moved this to the Removing section as you do have a trojan running on your system, and this one allows someone access to your computer. You also have some mild spyware.

    Disable System Restore.

Open HJT, and click on 'Open misc tools section', then click on "Delete a file on reboot', a File Open window will appear. Copy/Paste the following into it.

    c:\Winnt\project\By.eXe

Then click on Open, and you will be prompted to reboot, select No at this time. Do the same for this.

    C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\SbCIe02a.dll

Rescan with HJT, and remove these items with all browsers closed.

    Reboot into Safe Mode.
Delete all files and folders located in these folders.
    C:\Windows\Prefetch
    C:\Windows\Temp
    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp

The Support.Com can be spyware, depending on who installed it on your system, I would just keep it from starting up by removing it with HJT, no need to delete the folder.
But, you do need to delete this folder.

    c:\Winnt\project

Then reboot into Normal mode, and enable System Restore. Please post a new HJT log.

    Remove the Google toolbar.

I found this solution on another board and it worked for me and for another person here.
