IE Browser Hijacking

It explains browser hijacking, what it is, how to prevent it and how to clean up after it. Probably should get "sticky noted" to the top of either this forum or IE/OE one?

It would be best in this section. If I was haveing this problem, chances are that I would look in this catagory first.

If you use SpyBot S&D you can "lock" your Browser to prevent it from being hijacked. Just go to Tools/IE Tweaks and check off Lock Browser

 

balo thats not true, read the help file about it, its a simple tweak to help prevent your other pc users from changing those settings only.
Any common nastie can undue that tweak apply there changes and set it back again

 

Search this board for for IE Hijack or browser hijack. These guys stuck with me an entire week to help me get both my computers back after being hijacked. It was a nighmare, and these guys were patient and awesome!
