ie auto start

    i'm using windows xp n i've tried many ways but for some reasons unknown to me,after i boot-up my pc,ie will automatically start-up n log-on to internet.any help is greatly appreciated.

    thanks brett,managed to stop the auto log-on BUT the ie still auto start when i boot-up the pc :confused:

    It's probably due to an application which loads with Windows and which has an auto-update feature.

    Check the settings of such programs to see whether any have an auto-update feature and, if they do, disable it.

    If that doesn't do the trick, you may wish to use MSCONFIG to tinker with the startup list to see whether you can isolate the culprit.

    You way also wish to scan with both an AV and Ad-aware.

    It doesn't hurt to have a Trojan hunter\remover on your computer either to check for ones that sneak in some other way besides through e-mail.

    thanks guys,somehow it works at msconfig. i uncheck the "rundll32 amecsa" (whatever that is) n the "webwash" which i uninstalled it after that. :D
